Marcellino Jr., a former standout athlete at Watkins Glen (NY) High School, died on Friday, May 25, 2018 at his home in Palmyra, NY.
Marcellino was a 1983 graduate of Watkins Glen High School, and a member of the 1982 IAC champion WGHS football team that went 8-0 in the regular season. Family and friends are invited to call from 2-5 p.m. Yost Funeral Home, Inc., 123 West Main St., Palmyra.
She was a member of the Montour Falls United Methodist Church, the Mechanics Club, and the Tuesday Golf League at Soaring Eagles, and was treasurer of the Georgetown Homeowners Association. “Bud” Confer, in 2014, and by a brother, Jack Margeson. Burial will be in Seneca Union Cemetery in Valois at the convenience of the family. Ann is survived by her children, Karen (Dan) Rock of Odessa, Jason (Lisa) Confer of MD, and Bud’s children, Sharon (Bill) Van of Huntsville, AL and Jeff (Linda) Confer of Montour Falls; brother, Gerald Margeson of FL; sister-in-law, Maria Margeson of FL; grandchildren, Brian (Joy) Rock, Chad, Tate and Cayden Confer; great grandchildren, Gavin, Henry and Samantha Rock; a nephew; and five nieces with special thanks to Kelly for all of her help. She met her husband, John Flowers, who was a chemistry professor at Medgar Evers.Her parents, Virginia and Robert Dannenfelser, lived in the house while Roberta and John were still working in Brooklyn.Roberta and John moved from the Bronx to Hector in 2006.She was born in Elmira, NY on April 18, 1936, the daughter of the late Ray N. (Hurd) Margeson, and graduated from Horseheads High School.
Ann retired as a staff accountant from Ciaschi, Dietershagen, Little, Mickelson in Ithaca.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from - p.m. A celebrated Finger Lakes region chef since 1990, he first opened and operated Dano’s on Cayuga and later Dano's Heuriger on Seneca.
