Chartered in 1938, Bandera Electric Cooperative distributes electricity to more than 25,000 members and more than 34,000 active meters across seven counties in the Texas Hill country, and has for 79 years.Installation construction costs from BEC poles to your business vary depending upon distance and connection requested.All members who sign a contract will receive a credit of up to 0 towards their construction/service extension costs.

We have close to 650 customers hooked up on fiber right now and hope to hook up another 1500 this year. am August 22, 2017 Electric co-ops around Texas are beginning to provide rural broadband service, just as they supplied electricity to the countryside decades ago.We asked them to get 50% of their neighborhood, and the surrounding neighborhood to sign up, and we promised take the proposal to the BEC board of directors for consideration of a pilot project. Within weeks, the Boerne pilot was approved and the BEC Fiber (formerly BEC Broadband) staff hit the ground running!
Since then, the interest from other neighborhoods in the BEC service territory has grown exponentially, and BEC introduced this site to help members manage the interest.The goal for a particular zone is 50 percent of active residential and commercial meters.
